Top 3 reasons to hire a nutrition coach

Are you ready to make a change to your health and fitness? You’ve probably heard that “you can’t out-train a bad diet,” and it’s true. Our eating habits play a major role in how long it takes to achieve our goals - or whether or not we achieve them at all. We already know that nutrition matters - that’s not news. So why do I need a nutrition coach? Here are our top three reasons:

1. Navigation

There is a lot of information out there. (Thanks, internet.) And a lot of it is confusing, contradictory, or outright false. So while your nutrition coach may be sharing information that you could technically find on your own, their expertise helps you sort through the mess to help you determine what’s right. And not only that, but they help you determine what information is actually relevant to you, your situation, and your goals - so that you can correctly apply those principles to your own life.

2. Accountability

If starting and sticking to new habits were easy, we’d all be doing it. Some of us know the changes we need to make in order to move the needle; but left to our own devices, we don’t do it. Adding a layer of external accountability and support - and encouragement, too! - helps you honor the commitments you’ve made to yourself by sticking to the process. And it makes the journey a lot less lonely. :)

3. Long-Term Habit Building

The philosophy of our nutrition coaching is less about telling you exactly what to eat for every single meal on every single day of the week and more about equipping you with the skills and knowledge you need to keep the habits long-term and actually maintain the progress you see. That’s part of the reason why we don’t prescribe exact meal plans. We’ve found that when you’re required to make at least some choices for yourself, your participation in that process helps you develop the habits you need to be more successful in the long run.
